Project Description
University of Arizona Chemistry Building Renovation
Initially constructed in three phases (1936, 1948, and 1962) and programmed as a Chemistry and Physics Building, the current building had outlived its purpose. The historic building will now serve as a laboratory space and a 21st Century education building. The University of Arizona contracted a design-build team, Sundt Construction, Shepley Bulfinch, and Poster Mirto McDonald, to re-envision the building as a 21st Century Collaborative Classroom Building.
The design-build project is a 75,000-GSF renovation and additions to a historic Chemistry Building. The estimated completion of the project is December 2022.
