Pima County Joint Courts Complex – Special Inspections

The Pima County Courthouse is a 7-story steel building which sits on a 4 foot thick mat foundation. MWG provided special inspections for the project, including overseeing 3,553 cubic yards of concrete for the building’s foundation in just 8 hours. The pour consisted of multiple concrete teams, 5 pump trucks, and nearly 400 concrete deliveries in one night. MWG was able to tackle this intense placement with enough inspectors to ensure quality of the reinforcement before the placement and the concrete pour itself. Other inspections for this building consisted of the reinforcement and placement of the concrete over metal deck on the building floors, and the concrete masonry site walls around the building.
