Project Description

Pima County Animal Care Center

The Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) project was a multi-phased effort that included demolition of one building, new construction of a 1-story masonry structure, and restoration of another existing building. The new Animal Care Center structure totals 60,000 square feet, with nearly 93 percent allocated to functions that directly house or support the housing, care, and adoption of dogs, cats, and exotic animals. Specialty areas include veterinary clinics, adoption areas, and law enforcement, divisions. Structural design features include a high canopy at the entry, extended roof canopies in many areas, and a multipurpose room that can be opened to a large outdoor play area.
